“As much as I love doctor who (big time fan here, Old & New), I'm glad that the Doctor isn't on the shirt. (I can't believe I said that, considering the vast amounts of Doctor Who on my walls and T-shirts and computer). I'm glad that they stuck to this theme. Throwing in the Doctor would have made me wonder why the pheonix was mushed in there. I could have understood the Doctor and the cat, what with his love of cats expressed in many episodes.
The ninth Doctor in "The Empty Child" picks up and talks to a cat.
The tenth Doctor shows his appreciation for some kittens in the episode "Gridlock", (We'll just ignore the fact he said he wasn't a cat person in "Fear Her", men do that 'tough guy thing')
Not to mention that the eleventh Doctor spoke to a cat in "The Lodger" to get more information about what was going on in the house! And don't get me started on the Old stuff, there's so much cat stuff there too! Now the sad thing? I remembered all of the instances that he had encounters with cats and had only to look up episode names. So yes, I love Doctor Who, but am glad that he did not make an appearance on this shirt. Though reading the discussion about it all, was very enlightening.”
