“Overall I really like my Ooma Telo. I pay $3.17/month for phone service! At that price, I'm willing to overlook a lot of annoyances, but there have not been many to overlook. Faxing is flaky, as others have pointed out. Also, watch out for them "forgetting" to cancel premier when you opt out. I had to call in and get them to shut it down and refund money. But they were cool about it. Lastly, I had some issues with my Verizon router. Ooma wants to be in front of the router for QoS reasons, but with that config, my wired devices were on a different subnet than my wireless because I had 2 DHCP servers in the mix. So I put the ooma behind the router and just set the router QoS to prioritize traffic from the Telo. Device paid for itself in 2 mths.”

“Folks, I have to come to Invicta's defense here. Invicta's problem lately is they are trying to play in all markets, which has created confusion about the quality of the brand as a whole. They do make cheaper watches in the $40-60 range meant to compete with watches from Guess and Fossil, and sadly those Invictas are very low quality, even when compared to those other two brands. However, watches from the Subaqua, Signature, and Reserve collections are the complete opposite. Outstanding quality and an excellent value. Before I speak to this watch specifically. I have to clarify some designations. The Swiss watch industry has very strict guidelines regarding the use of "Swiss" on watches. Here's how it works: *If the watch says "Swiss" or "Swiss Mov't" or "Swiss Quartz", then by Swiss law, the movement must contain greater than 50% Swiss manufactured parts, and the entire movement has to have been assembled in Switzerland by a Swiss manufacturer, but the rest of the watch can come from anywhere. *If the watch says "Swiss Made", as this Subaqua does, the ENTIRE watch, including the movement and case, must be manufactured and assembled in Switzerland using Swiss parts by a Swiss manufacturer. This watch is a high-quality watch. As another poster pointed out, the movement is a Ronda Startech, an excellent Swiss quarts movement, a real workhorse. Not high dollar, but good quality. Sadly the crystal is mineral and not sapphire, but they wanted to keep the price low, and that was one way to do it. I would also recommend any of the Invicta automatics because they use either Miyota (Citizen) movements, which are high quality Japanese movements (again, workhorses), or Swiss ETAs in the Reserve and COSC models, which is the same movement used in Omega and IWC, TIssot, and Tag automatics, plus many others. The aesthetic of the Subaqua is not for everyone. But anyone who says "all Invictas are ugly" has not seen the entire line. They make some very classic designs. The Pro Divers look like Rolex Subs, and their Speedway collection look like Daytonas. The Steel collection is reminiscent of a Movado in it's simplicity. This Subaqua is a serious watch. Yes, it's huge, but that's primarily due to the fact that the chronograph movement is large, and you have to have a very robust case to withstand 500m of pressure (200m MORE than a Rolex sub, btw). I have three Invictas. One uses this exact movement and has a sapphire crystal. Another, an Ocean Ghost diver, uses a Miyota movement, and that thing runs like a champ, with a reserve of well over 24 hours. But my favorite is the model 9937 Pro Diver, which has the look, feel, and 90% of the quality of a Rolex Sub for less than 10% of the price. Swiss ETA movement, WR to 200m, solid stainless steel, sapphire crystal, screwdown crown and case, etc. Only things the Rolex has on it are screwed band links vs. pins, and the COSC certification. If you need that, then buy an Invicta model 4463.”

“For what it's worth, I bought a similar DLO bundle for my Zune about a year ago, and the car charger crapped out within about 2 months. The wall charger and cable are still okay, but the car charger was the real reason I bought it, so was pretty disappointed. The build quality is pretty weak. Thin plastic and parts that rattle around inside. Hopefully Philips has improved the quality since I made my purchase.”

“Sorry if some of these points have already been made...I'm too lazy to read all gazillion posts. I have the FastTrack interface, Protools Essential, and the AV-30 speakers. Love it all! But there are some considerations: Avid's Win7 64-bit drivers suck. After messing with every possible setting and reading tons of forums, I ended up dual-booting Windows XP 32-bit, and it works perfectly. It may be a 64-bit issue vs. Win7, so 32-bit Win7 or Vista may work. The main issue was lots of pops/hisses, and high latency, which makes syncing multiple tracks virtually impossible. Save yourself some trouble and install on a 32-bit system. Don't expect to use the mic with the FastTrack interface. The mic is USB only, and you need an XLR mic for the interface. Also, this mic is a condenser mic, which requires phantom power. This particular FastTrack interface model does not have phantom power, but the mic is able to get the phantom power it requires via the PC USB port. The speakers are phenomenal! I actually have them connected to the FastTrack via the stereo RCA jacks for when I'm recording in WinXP 32-bit, and then when I'm booted in to Win7 for other tasks, I connect to my PC sound card via the front AUX jack on the speakers. Works well, and only one set of speakers on the desk. Protools is an incredibly powerful piece of software, but if you are unfamiliar with recording software or mixer boards, be prepared for a learning curve. But once you get it down, you'll be amazed at the power and versatility. Here's a link to some of the recordings I've made using the FastTrack and Protools: http://www.set4e.com/Songs.html For comparison purposes, the first two tunes on the site were recorded with Protools via the FastTrack USB interface and a quality vocal mic. The second two tunes were recorded using a chap lapel mic and Audacity. You'll hear the difference in a hurry.”

“The USB interface is just that: an interface. The format you record to with it depends on the software you are using. For example, if you used Windows Sound Recorder, you would get WAV as an output. Protools records in it's proprietary format, but you can mix down and master to WAV. I then use VLC to convert to mp3.”

“Yes, it will. It's what I use it for. Great product. Be advised, however, that last I checked the Win7 64 drivers were not up to snuff. Too much latency. I ended up having to use the interface on Windows XP 32-bit, and it's great.”

“Folks, I own this Fast Track USB, and I love it. But be warned: despite what M-Audio's website and other posters have said, the 64-bit Win7 drivers are not ready for prime time. Major latency, which makes recording a pain, and syncing multiple tracks virtually impossible. I spent days trying to get them working and finally ended up dual-booting w/XP 32-bit. With XP 32-bit, this thing is awesome! I even tried running XP as a VM within Win7, an no go, so it's definitely a 64-bit issue, more than the OS itself.”
