“This is a high alcohol Zinfandel. Do you like Zin? Likely very fruity and spicy and 'hot'!”

“Two important things 1. Last time's woot, 13th Dec 2010 2. woot's treminology is confused. wikipedia is pretty good at explaining, but there is no "18-55mm IS II" lens. There are: - 18-55mm II (non-IS) in usm and standard versions; and - 18-55mm IS (image stabilised). You want the second one, as the MkI and MkII non-IS lenses are rubbish. The MkIII non-IS lens is good, but it doesn't have IS and IS is amazing!!! adds at least two stops to your low-light capability! This lens claims to be 18-55mm IS II (see front page), but it can't be as that doesn't exist. It's one of the two above. I suspect it is indeed the IS version, as IS is stated clearly, but they should remove the "II" from the descrition as that just serves to confuse.”

“Dust and nothing else? If so a. How old is it? Could be in its dumb period b. It may indeed be finished, and all tannin. Or was this as bsevern suggested, just the Rutherford dust, underneath the fruit? Or, t could just be a style akin to what they do at Pine Ridge and some other places with huge amounts of time on the skins, with punchovers etc, sacrificing fruit for tannins.”

“Modern American style, ripe, fruit forward, not a European style. However, it has very zippy acidity, making for an acid balance; though with the Brix at harvest, ripe style, and the grapes involved I presume this is due to acidulation. I'd love to hear more from Ty about how he manages this though in case I'm wrong. His PSs are very tannic young, however, and it seems the sweet spot for the Cabs and Tytanium is about 5-7 years old, but the many fans on this board will give their opinions on this.”
