and I apologize I did not realize the broccoli one was still for sale, I had briefly read the thread on the dirty job one, in which I saw the woot staff respond that they would be looking into it and that they take it very seriously. also saw that people complained that it was taken down and they were getting refunds. thus I assume the dirty job one is down.
I just don't see the issue here. I've watched many designs by Cho and Tgentry winning in the past. When you get a good artist who has good ideas, they tend to get voted highly no? The fact that alot of shirts sell, and many of which are right away, suggesting people are waiting to see if it wins so they can grab it before it sells out. And no people will not buy things even if they don't like them, someone said that was an integral part of woots thinking, but its untrue, when a wootoff comes around, youll see more of that mentality but not on the day to day stuff”

no I don't think I will.
Can't agree more on this one. I think you're proving yourself wrong with every post. Since we like to pretend we're smart here.. if X=Y and Y becomes more and more true.. then so does X. right? moving on.
why are you defending this hack job of stolen art? what does woot have to explain? that the shirt was made using images not owned by the 'artist'. plus in the thread for that shirt you were against broccoli and dirty job, where as in this thread you appear to be aginst woot having taken them down.
also, why not take a little read of this: I think that does all the explaining needed for the other 2 shirts you brought up.
Any given night, woot has over a million eyes. logically, any given shirt can sell out.
Wrong, most logically, Woot would, at most, have over half a million eyes. And, to think that every person with a Woot account looks at it every single day is quite absurd. Also, all Woot is saying in that FAQ response is because people use the same account for all of the Woot family of sites, they can claim all of them have over a million users. If you think Woot is encouraging people to have multiple accounts, as someone may have suggested, there is no proof in that pudding.
I seem to recall similar arguments being started back when tgentry got several entries printed within a few weeks all in all to sum this long post up.. Adder..
