“Rebate: I just printed out the receipt off the "your account" page - sure hope that's right. I'd also like to point out that woot covered up my serial# sticker with the shipping label, BAD WOOT! took me 10 minutes to get it off. Ceiling mount: I looked around and sent the image of the mounting holes to a bunch of eBay sellers - the one I ended up getting is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5881931470 he said to make sure you say it's for a Hitachi projector so he can sent the right mounting bars. Including shipping it's $32.94 - I will also report back on how well it works. Screen won't stay down: When I first got out the screen it worked fine, but when I took it home it wouldn't stay down any more. Here's the fix: First, go over to http://home.howstuffworks.com/how-to-repair-windows3.htm so you can see the basic principles at work. You'll have to take apart the screen to get it working again. Remove both of the plastic end pieces but be aware that the one on the left is the one with the spring - when you pull it off the spring is going to unwind. If at all possible take it off slowly and let it unwind slowly too, counting the number of times it spins the end piece, if you don't count you'll have to guess later. the ratchet and spring assembly slides out of the tube that the screen is attached to - just pull and it should come right out. If the sprint comes off either side you have a problem - you'll need to slide the entire screen and tubes out of the outer casing, pull off the other end (leave the screw there) and you'll need to find something to push the stuck pieces out. I used a broom handle - it was too short to reach but I just put it inside and bumped the stuff out using the weight of the handle. Once you have the spring assembly out you'll need to pull the spring off the "business" end and once that is done you need to pull the plastic piece that the spring was attached to - down the rod. be careful and slow here so you don't lose the vital piece - it's pretty light and if you just pop the spring piece off, it will go flying. Now you can open the end and fix the "ratchet" assembly. There is a small piece of plastic, sort of reminds me of one of the plastic tabs you snap off a VHS casette, but 5-6 times thicker. One end is rounded and the opposite is flat. The rounded end goes into the outer housing in the rounded side - you'll see what I mean. If you want you can test out the assembly while it's open like that. Put the stuff back together, be sure you put the metal "eyelet" back on the bar - chances are it came off - reattach the spring and slide the entire assembly back into the tube. Before you put the end cap back on, you need to tension the spring so it will pull up the screen. If you counted the number of times - then just wind it back up and you'll be fine. If you didn't - you'll have to guess. Get the number wrong and you'll just have to re-tension it, no big deal. Once you have the end cap back on you'll need to fix the other side - the axle will be out of its hole. Screen distance: according to the manual, it looks like it will need to be about 8' 9" from the screen for a 76" image. And remember "Do not place the projector on a metallic thing or anything weak in heat."”
