“I've got an idea! How about you CALL your local court and listen to the list of offenses (it's a Sunday, it'll be a recording) for driving, and check if radar are illegal before posting your state? As of Tuesday, Jan 22nd, the Commonwealth of Virginia will fine you for having a radar detector. One specific county's charge is approx. 90 dollars. Also: attempting to hide Anything after the cop has pulled you over? Not so good an idea, methinks. They do have the right to search your vehicle (except for a locked, unaccessable trunk; as of my driver's ed 4 years ago) without giving just cause.”

“I recently got a speeding ticket here in VA (yeah, no buying one of these for me), but I found out when paying my fine that cops, atleast in Dinwiddie county, can and will pull you over for failing to drive to the right. The fine for that offense was actually More than my fine for speeding.”
